Troy is a city about 15-20 miles north of Detroit.

It borders by other suburban towns: to the north, Rochester Hills, to the east, Sterling Heights, to the south Clawson, to the southwest, Birmingham, to the west Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township.

Its corner points are adjacent to Warren and Shelby Township.
